Drone captures spectacular footage of Saint Martin's natural diversity, beautiful beaches and attractions.
While surfing the web, I found this great footage of Saint Martin that is so worthwhile watching.
It's all about the attack of the drones - the afternoon sun offers a canvas of light and shadow allowing the drone to capture the beauty and diversity of this unique island. The video features aerial shots of mile long beaches, boats, lush green mountains, turquoise reefs, local villages and resorts.
A little bit about Saint Martin:
Saint Martin (French: Saint-Martin; Dutch: Sint Maarten) is an island in the northeast Caribbean and is the smallest island in the world divided between two countries: France and the Netherlands. The french part of the island is a French overseas territory, whilst the Dutch part belongs to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The island is 34 square miles in total size, and the land mass of St. Martin is split roughly 60/40, with the larger French side covering about 20 square miles. However, slightly more people live on the Dutch side of the island.
Saint Maarten/Saint Martin is considered a spicy marriage of Caribbean, French and Dutch cultures which matches its physical diversity. The island is both urban and untamed, with rain forest-like landscapes, white beaches, and amazing caves and wildlife. This island is famous for its natural beauty and the drone video wonderfully captures the magnificent scenery.
The video, produced by The Drone Club, covers miles of coast and highland in pursuit of perfection where the sun is high and the water so clear, so inviting, so warm - submerge yourself in this piece of eye candy. Enjoy!
